Product warranty and care

Warranty

I conduct a quality inspection before I deliver all of my products, but they are made from wood and sometimes contain natural imperfections. I consider these as unique character elements of the wood. If you find a workmanship defect in your product let me know and we can come up with a solution to fix it. I will not leave you with a defective product if proper care was given to the product.

Proper care

Paddles - My paddles are made to propel canoes by pushing water. Any other use can cause damage to the paddle structure or finish. I recommend that you inspect your paddle for cracks, splits and finish coverage prior to each use. A damaged paddle should never be used until it is properly repaired. I recommend that you apply the handle tung oil monthly and an exterior oil varnish every year. This will maintain the finish and help your paddle last for years. Boards - My boards are made for kitchen and cheese knives. They should never be washed in a dishwasher or be soaked in water. Wash them with a mild dish soap in warm water and pat to dry. Store them out of direct sunlight. Apply board wax monthly or when required to keep the board looking oiled.
